DIY | A toy car converted into base speaker?A wooden box turned into sound system?A accidental experiment while vacuum forming a piece of acrylic turned into a bespoke speaker? Westminster City School students have been using our DIY Speaker kit for the last 6 weeks as part of their STEM Club taught by their Design and Technology teacher Mr. Martin Grant Hudson. The students firstly had to learn how to solder all the components to build their amp as well as design their own speaker using different materials in order to get the best sound out of it. They all came out with great ideas that had to put in practice exploring materiality of sound.
