DIY | is the video of my new prototype for DIY Geiger Counter with Nokia 5110 LCD. All functions controlled only by MCU PIC16F876A. Actually is alomost same firmware to other my counter but I changed the program to run nokia lcd because it seems to be more interesting. So the main functions are:1. PWM controlled high voltage converter stage. High voltage can be calibrated with keys from 300V to 500V No hardware calibration! No external IC’s for producing high voltage! :) Only mcu and transistor cascade. 2. Measuring period now depend on the CPM value and it will changes automatically from 30sec to 5sec. Measuring error for background level now is only 2 cpm. 3. The display has scale with fast respond to radiation level, the sacle updates every Calibartion menu (non in the video) allow to calibrate conversion factor from to ; Alert level and high voltage. All settings saved to mcu memory and keeped after power work still in progress. As before the device compatible with Arduino. Please follow updates. | Video tube
